Barbarossa Doctrine
Hunter-General Yamsi Natynozh IV of the Great House of Natynozh was a Pord who thought poorly of the mast majority of other star-polities who sail the void. His thoughts concerning foreigners culminated in the establishment of the Barbarossa Doctrine, a rather curt decree that proclaimed all of Barbarossa I, the home galaxy of all Pordkind, should not be inhabited, frequented, or colonized by outside powers. Pursuant to this effort he ensured that Nalydya's rift fleet was to be capable of keeping an eye on most of the galaxy. This was the dawn of the first truly great rift fleets that would become so common about the void in Barbarossa I and the Milky Way Galaxy. The doctrine still stands today and serves as the guide through which Nalydya directs her dealings with foreigners.
Polar Confederation and League of Byzantine Nations
The Caedis Wars proved to be a very bloody affair - so much so that the leadership at the time, the Great House of Natynozh, came to realize that for Nalydya to prosper she would need friends. While many Pords were loathe to accept the kinship of outside powers, more reasonable heads prevailed and they founded two alliance - a loose alliance of nations who shared the mutual bond of cold - the Polar Confederation - and another loose alliance, formed of many of the nations once opposing them during the Caedis Wars, that served as an economic bloc. The League of Byzantine Nations was Nalydya's first real cultural exchange with polities from the Milky Way Galaxy and was a stable alliance until the collapse of FB-1.
Barlat
Barlat is traditionally seen as the enemy of Pordkind. Throughout her tenure atop the fabrics of FB-1, Barlat armadas have tormented Pordish shipping and threatened her systems. Millions of Pords have died fighting against Barlatist nations and it is for this very reason that assets from most Barlat nations have standing orders to be engaged and destroyed when encountered. It is a tit-for-tat affair, with those under the Barlatist banner also operating with similar disregard for Pordish holdings and equipment. Thought dead with the fall of FB-1, the re-emergence of the Ishii has quelled this school of thought.
Laptev
The Nalydian relationship with Laptev is one that is characterized by mostly amicable relations. Pordish armadas have fought alongside Laptev on many occasions and even towards the end of FB-1 she was accepted into Laptev's ranks. With the fall of FB-1, it was assumed Laptev had fallen to the wayside, as Barlat before her had, but with the re-emergence of the Ingenious, a chance encounter with Katasia in PW-1, and rumours for Imaginariumese and Ystovians also having shaken off the dust of irrelevancy, Nalydya once again will return to working with Laptev and viewing them in rather favourable light.
UMS, GESO
The Union of Multiversal States and the Galactic Economic Security Organization were formed in part by Imperial Nalydya. Each alliance served a distinct purpose: the UMS served as bulwark against the more advanced extra-universal threats while GESO served to provide Nalydya a platform from which to survey and keep an eye on the Milky Way. Naturally distrustful of Milky Way powers, the GESO provided Nalydya with the perfect guise to map their trade lanes and catalog the greater share of their major holding. With the Frankish War, however, both organizations proved to be incapable of combating adversity and Nalydya exfiltrated herself from them.
Kuzhükozh
Following the fall of the UMS and the Pordish withdrawal from GESO, Nalydya sought to implement far more stringent adherence to the Barbarossa Doctrine. Hunter-Diplomats met with their esteemed warrior counterparts from the Maya system-states and together they formed a union, a Sacred League, for the sole purpose of protecting their mutual galaxy from outside invaders such as the Franks who had descended upon Yamsai with warfleets. Star-states within the Sacred League are required to be landholder within Barbarossa I.
