From One to Twelve
Pords use a base twelve numbering system with numbers 0-12 comprised of a root and a main body. The root is used to attach to words to specify quantity:
Chelnat is Pordish for twelve; chel is the root and nat is the body.
Charov is Pordish for speak.
When combining the root for twelve (chel) with the word for speak (charov) we are arrived at a new word: chelcharov, which is a long passage of text either read or spoken.
Nokesh is Pordish for two; nok is the root and esh is the body.
Küscht is Pordish for log.
When combining the root for two (nok) with the word for log (küscht) we are arrived at a new word: Nokküschten, which is a group of two logs.
